Walk In My Shoes - Enhancing Interdepartmental Communication

Purpose
Effective communication between business units, departments and team is crucial for maximum organizational efficiency and production capabilities.

Due to the nature of organizations, each unit and individual tends to view situations from their own perspective based on roles, culture and experience. Optimum success occurs when people can step back from their own perspective to see situation from the other viewpoint and move forward with common understanding.

Participants learn how to interact more effectively with other departments and teams to achieve organizational goals more cooperatively with less disruption, misunderstanding and expensive rework.

Objectives
Explore how perceptions and styles can aversely effect communication
Understand the communication patterns between the Clients and the Organization that influence or drive interdepartmental communications
Experience situations and concerns of other work units
Learn new tools and methods for enhancing communications skills
Identify barriers that impede effective interdepartmental communication
Develop strategies for application to specific work situations

Methodology
This is a customized, interactive workshop engaging participants in simulation, assessment and analytical activities. It proves the opportunity to understand other roles and responsibilities that effect communication in their own environment.

Length
Full day.
