Purpose

Six Sigma is a project-based productivity and quality improvement program. This seminar provides an overview of the Six Sigma methodology, the critical factors affecting Six Sigma program success and failure and key considerations for those considering a Six Sigma program.

Objectives
•		Understand the philosophical, strategic and statistical concepts underlying Six Sigma.
•		Review the roles and responsibilities in a Six Sigma program.
•		Understand the steps in the Six Sigma process: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control.
•		Review the core tools used in each step of the Six Sigma process.
•		Understand the key success factors and key barriers in Six Sigma implementation.

Methodology

This seminar is primarily interactive lecture and discussion based. Liberal amounts of time isallotted for organization specific Q&A so that participants can gain knowledge of specific issues that could affect their organization. Course durations of less than two days may require a tailoring of objectives.
