Personal Style: Assessment, Insight & Personal Change

Purpose
Personal Style is the bottom-line determinant of how effective a person will be as a manager, leader and team player. One’s style determines how a person perceives the world, other people and how they act or react. Personal style can either be a constraint limiting a person’s future or an asset opening up many new opportunities.

The primary goal of Personal Style: Assessment, Insight & Personal Change is to help participants understand their style well enough to change how they behave so as to bring the best out of others.

Objectives
Understand the psychological attributes of each dimension of personal style.
Determine the type of work environment best suited for each style.
Identify the positive and negative attributes inherent in each style.
Determine which styles are complementary to each other.
Assess what needs to be maintained or changed in the dominant and secondary style.
Determine the degree of compatibility and incompatibility between styles.
Create change plans to improve personal effectiveness with bosses, peers and/or direct\ reports.
Link personal style to different approaches to leading and managing.

Methodology
Personal Style: Assessment, Insight & Behavior Change is a highly active and interactive learning experience. Participants use the report and assessment on their personal style to create behavior change plans in order to have a positive impact on people. Participants understand the range of styles available through learning simulations and small group discussions with others who are similar and different.

This choice of personal style assessment tools used in this process are either the Personal Profile System, Meyers-Briggs or Stylo.
