Discovering the Future: Weak Signal Detection
| Purpose |
Long term success requires that enterprises learn new tools for anticipating the future. Innovative approaches to discovering the future must include the purposeful search for “weak signals” - harbingers of innovation and change - often concealed in the noise of the system, environment or marketplace.
The detection of weak signals must be accounted for both in planning processes and in carrying out the plan. Traditional approaches frequently contribute to an enterprise’s inability to detect weak signals, yet without deliberately searching for and learning from them, the chances for innovation and sustainable success are slim.
Participants will discover how to identify weak signals, prioritize and create Action Steps for them, and gain new insights and alternatives about the future of their organization, marketplace and industry. |
